Simply Bare started in a kitchen in 2021 — with one woman, one skin condition, and a refusal to keep choosing between smelling good and feeling good.
I'd lived with skin conditions since I was a kid.
For years, that meant a constant trade-off. The products that actually helped my skin never smelled or felt like anything I wanted to put on. The ones that felt luxurious weren't doing anything for my skin at all. I got used to picking one or the other — because that's just how it was.
Then COVID happened. Like a lot of people, I suddenly had time to actually sit with that frustration instead of just living with it. And one day it hit me: why am I still sacrificing? Why can't there be something that makes me feel confident and actually takes care of my skin?
So I decided to stop waiting for it to exist. I'd make it myself.
No lab. No team. Just a stove and a lot of trial and error.
Simply Bare started in my actual kitchen. My first body butters came out rock solid — more like soap bars than anything you'd want on your skin. I remelted batches, started over, and reformulated more times than I can count.
But I kept going, because I wasn't just trying to make a product to sell. I was trying to make the product I needed — the one that didn't exist yet. Eventually, I got somewhere I was proud of: something that felt as good as it smelled, and actually worked the way I needed it to.

Before anything reaches you, it's already lived on my own skin. I don't put my name on something I wouldn't use.

Since 2021, Simply Bare has grown into a full line — and a lot of miles. We've shown up at pop-ups and events across the country, met so many of you in person, and built this brand one conversation, one jar, one "wait, this actually worked" at a time.
