Real Girls, Real Glow: What Our Customers Are Actually Saying

Real Girls, Real Glow: What Our Customers Are Actually Saying

Sis, I have a confession. Some weeks I get so deep into batch days, packing orders, and planning pop-ups that I forget why I started any of this.

This season has been a lot. We're gearing up for fall, and I've been working on product improvements based on your feedback. So before changing anything, I went back to the reason. I sat down and read through our reviews. Every single one.

Somewhere in the middle of all those reviews, it hit me. I've spent a long time telling you what Simply Bare is. It's time you heard it from the women who actually use it.

So this post isn't really mine. It's theirs.

The review that stopped me in my tracks

There's one review I keep coming back to. It came in on our Amethyst Bundle, and it's short and simple.

"The smell is amazing and the texture is nice and smooth. I would purchase from them again." — Amber Williams

"I would purchase from them again." When you're a small brand, that's the line that matters. Anyone can try something once. Coming back means it earned a spot in your routine.

That's the thing about making something by hand. You pour yourself into every jar, send it out into the world, and you don't always get to see where it lands. Messages like this are how I know it's landing.

What you keep telling us, in your own words

When I read everything at once, patterns started showing up. The same feelings, over and over, from women who have never met each other.

Take Benita, who wrote this about our Fuego Body Butter:

"Light and fluffy, melts in your hand, and smells like mango. I absolutely love this body butter." — Benita Young

Benita and Amber have never met. They were writing about two different butters. And they said almost the same thing: the texture, and the scent.

Notice something? Almost nobody talks about ingredient lists. You talk about how it feels. How it smells the second you open the jar. How you catch yourself glowing in the mirror on a random Tuesday.

That's exactly how it should be.

Why your words sound like my why

I didn't start Simply Bare to make another product that promises everything. I started it because I was tired of reading labels I couldn't pronounce and buying things that just sat on my skin. So I made what I actually needed.

Two things were non-negotiable from day one.

Ingredients you can actually pronounce. You shouldn't need a chemistry degree to take care of your skin. What's in the jar should be as simple as the name on the label.

Small batches, made with care. Every butter is whipped in small batches so it stays airy and creamy, never waxy, never greasy. So when Benita calls Fuego "light and fluffy," I feel that. That's the part of the process nobody sees.

Reading your words next to my reasons, they line up. And honestly? That's the best feeling a founder can have.

The review I didn't see coming

Here's where it gets fun. Some of you are using Simply Bare in ways I never planned for.

Taylor has been wearing our Seduction Body Oil, and apparently, it's turning heads.

"Everyone asks what perfume I'm wearing when I use this!" — Taylor Jones

I made Seduction to keep your skin soft and glowing. I did not expect it to become somebody's signature scent. I'll take it.

This is my favorite part of having real women behind this brand. You find the magic in it that I didn't even know was there.

Your turn!

This post was built on your words. The next one could be built on yours.

If Simply Bare has become part of your routine (your post-shower ritual, your date-night glow, your "I'm finally taking care of me" era), I want to hear about it. The good, the real, the unexpected. I read every single one.
